Die internationale GAREC Notfunkkonferenz findet in einem Monat in Zürich statt. Sie steht allen notfunkinteressierten Funkamateuren offen. Dies ist eine gute Möglichkeit für Schweizer, die GAREC zu besuchen. Denn mit so tiefen Reisespesen kann man keine zukünftigen GAREC Konferenzen besuchen, wenn sie wieder im Ausland stattfinden

Beginning 25th June 2013, the Global Amateur Radio Emergency Communication Conference starts in Zurich. The GAREC conferences are important for the Amateur Radio Emergency Communication Service and are first class platforms for the exchange of experiences and know-how amongst the international participants. The GAREC conference is a must for:
Representatives of National Emergency and Members of Amateur Radio Organizations.
The Amateur Radio Service in Emergency Communication has proven world-wide invaluable in the past in case of disasters such as earthquakes, landslides, storms and hurricanes, water flooding, Tsunamis, accidents, fires and electrical power cuts.
Radio Amateur Operators put their telecommunication equipment and their operational knowledge at the disposal of the Authorities, Relief Organizations and Community services.
The voluntary service of Radio Amateurs make an important contribution in helping to save lives, relief of distress and rapid exchange of information for required goods and medical supplies. The always required Telecommunication needs are met by Radio Amateurs on VHF/UHF or Shortwaves and can be independent from the mains supply, since Radio Amateurs also have emergency battery powered radio equipment and independent antennas, either in affected or unaffected disaster areas, and mobile radio equipment in their cars.
Following your attendance of the full or part of the GAREC 2013 conference, we can arrange for your visit of the HAM RADIO exhibition in Friedrichshafen/Germany, with some 200 exhibitors from 30 countries and attended every year by some 14‘000 visitors. The 2 hour transportation for you is by our own buses to the exhibition, Hotel and back to Zurich.
